WWW Links
My little bookmark of my favorite and interesting websites... Just that. Hover the mouse over one of the image buttons to get a description of such links (much of them doesn't have one).
If you are going to link my website on yours, please use also this 88x31 button! I recommend that you download the button and upload it to your server instead of linking to it directly from here (to avoid hotlinking).

Communities
- dimension.sh: Public UNIX shell community where I host this website and gopherhole!
- Sector Disk: A small community project where users get sectors from a real 1.44MB floppy disk.
- Ctrl-C Club: Another pubnix/tilde community.
- Urban Exploration Resource: One of my favorites Urbex-related websites. It also has a huge community on there but with a lot of old and outdated stuff.
News
Retro-Internet (?)
- ALTEXXANET: It's a small project offering services of old Internet protocols such as Gopher, FTP, NNTP/Usenet, IRC and Hotline (an old program/protocol known mostly in the Macintosh community for file sharing and with message boards similar to Usenet) as well as old software downloads. Their website appears to be abandoned since 2016 but is still up and running.
- OldWeb.Today: Browse old web archives and the current web by using a series of old browsers inside a virtual machine.
- FrogRSS: An simple RSS aggregator for vintage computers/browsers inspired in FrogFind.
- 68k.news: Read Google News but with reduced HTML and no CSS.
- Cybertown Revival: A recreation of a forgotten 90's virtual world powered by VRML.
- Blizzard of Zeros: An interesting pure-HTML website that has a huge GIF87a (an old version of the GIF format) image gallery, emulators, as well as an anonymous FTP and a gopher server.
- Muzeum Internetu: Czech website about how was the Internet and the WWW in the early 90's with videos too!
- Retro Tech Lounge
- Web Design Museum
Videogames
- Zandronum: Multiplayer-oriented Doom sourceport.
- ZDoom: Modern Doom sourceport with some interesting and cool features.
- Freedoom: If you don't have money to buy Doom, play this IWAD instead.
- Xash3D FWGS: A cool free and open-source Goldsrc reimplementation that allows to play Half-Life or other mods not only in your PC but in other devices and processors. Some mods like HLRally will not work well on this engine.
- FTEQW: Quake I/II/III sourceport with some interesting features like IPv6 support, voicechat, etc.
Music
Tools, scripts & software
- WinSCP: SFTP/FTP/SCP/AWS S3/WebDAV client for Windows with great features. Much better than FileZilla in my opinion.
- PuTTY: SSH/Telnet/Rlogin client for Windows (and also for UNIX but I see no reason to use it other than just using PuTTY keys). It also comes with a key generator and allows you to save sessions for an easy access.
- HexChat: Open-source IRC client for Windows/Linux/MacOS.
- WeeChat: Another IRC client but designed for command-line/terminal enviroments. Similar to irssi but more intuitive.
- GifCam: Tiny Windows program that allows you to record GIFs and edit them.
- Text to ASCII Art Generator (TAAG): Website that I use for generate ASCII Art texts like in the header of this homepage.
- Lynx: HTTP/Gopher text-only browser which I use a lot in terminal environments.
- wApua: One of the few WAP/WML browsers for PCs in existence.
- .bashrc PS1 generator
- IceWM: One of my favorite X11 window managers out there. It's too lightweight and has themes that replicate the style of Windows 95/98 and OS/2 but it requires manual configuration.
- Audacious Media Player: An cool Winamp/XMMS-styled audio player mainly made for Linux systems althought it's also available on Windows as well.
- pngcrush: PNG compressor tool similar to FFmpeg.
- RetroZilla: An "new" open-source fork of early versions of Mozilla Firefox/Application Suite with some bugfixes and that works with some HTTPS websites. I like to use it a lot in some old Windows VMs instead of Netscape.
- J.A.C.K.: Cool and modern alternative to Goldsrc Valve Hammer Editor.
Abandoned (?)
- PINGO'S OFFICIAL WEBSITE !: Pictures and some other stuff about what Penguin Chat was before it became Club Penguin.
- Coffee Icons
- Stanwee: It was a website dedicated to a pretty flower doll that traveled around the world. He was apparently lost in 2019 and his whereabouts were never heard from again today.
- Sonic the Hedgehog Info Page
- ZOMBO Text: A secret text version of the Zombo.com intro.
- Instant Internet
- Mosaic Communications Corporation
- This page is Under Construction!: A lot of "Under construction" graphics from GeoCities homepages.
- The Fanimatrix: Former official website of the fan-made movie "The Fanimatrix". It has recently become one of the oldest BitTorrent files still being distributed, since September 2003.
